Recreational Activities
A variety of programs allow members to participate in activities that
fit their needs. Thanks to service organizations, other volunteers and caring staff,
members can enjoy a lively schedule of events including concerts, dances, baseball and
football games, picnics, bus tours, bowling, card parties and "dining out"
nights. Buses accessible to individuals with disabilities are available to take members to
off-campus activities.
Game rooms, libraries, TV lounges or hobby/craft shops provide members
with opportunities to fill their leisure time. Members are also encouraged to enjoy the
outdoors, as much as possible.
Religious Services
Members are encouraged to attend weekly services of their choice in the Home’s All
Faiths Chapels. Chaplains also make regular visits to those who are ill or unable to leave
their rooms.
Chapels were provided through gifts from members, families, veterans’ service
organizations, their auxiliaries and the public. |
