Veterans' Homes
Nebraska Veterans' Memorial Cemetery

The Cemetery, located at the Grand Island Veterans Home in Grand Island, Nebraska, is open daily during daylight hours.

Flowers or wreaths may be placed on graves but will be removed before grass is mowed.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Members (current or previous) of any of the four Veterans Homes within the State of Nebraska.
2. All approved applicants to the Nebraska Veterans Homes on the current waiting list.
3. The spouse of Members in each of the four State Veterans Homes.
4. Widows/Widowers of deceased Veterans interned in the Nebraska Veterans Home Cemetery.
5. A widow or widower retains eligibility for burial in the Cemetery regardless of residence; however, the Home cannot guarantee a plot next to the spouse, unless arrangements for such burial are coordinated at the time of the death of the spouse.
