Educational Programming

West Kearney High School YRTC-K operates an on-campus special purpose junior/senior high school, "West Kearney High School".  The Nebraska Department of Education and the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges has accredited the school.  The school operates year round and youth are enrolled daily.

The 22 member school staff develops an Individual Education Plan that leads youth toward either a high school or GED diploma. The Basic Education program is supported by:

  • special education;
  • speech pathology;
  • Title One;
  • career education;
  • family/life skills;
  • art;
  • pre-vocational training; and,
  • media and technology areas.
