Perfusionist A
perfusionist is a person who is licensed by the State of Nebraska to practice
perfusion. Perfusionists perform the functions necessary for the support, treatment,
measurement, or supplementation of the cardiovascular, circulatory, and respiratory
systems or other organs, and they ensure the safe management of physiologic functions by
monitoring and analyzing the parameters of those systems under the order and supervision
of a licensed physician.
Any applicants for perfusionist licensure who are seeking
licensure based on Work Experience (waiver of
education and examination requirements) must submit their application on or before
February 27, 2008, in order to be considered for licensure on that basis.
