Outpatient and In-Home Care Services Section

A home health agency means a person or any legal entity which provides skilled nursing care or a minimun of one other therapeutic service which include physical therapy, speech pathology, occupational therapy, respiratory care, home health aide services, social work, intravenous therapy or dialysis.

Licensure means:  The Department has issued a license to operate a service in the State of Nebraska to an individual, government, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, or other form of business operation that is legally responsible for the service's operation.

Certification means: The service is in compliance with the federal requirements PDF File 42 CFR Part 484.1-484.55 and is eligible to receive payment under the Medicare program.  The facility must have a license prior to being certified for the Medicare/Medicaid Program.
