You can apply for a birth certificate at one
of the regional offices in Kearney, Norfolk, North Platte, or Gering. You will have to
show your current government-issued photo id, such as your current driver’s license,
pay the fee for the search for the record and give the needed birth information. All
applications are sent by computer to the Vital Records office in Lincoln, NE for
processing.
