Adult Behavioral Health Service Definitions

Money to pay for services is paid to service agencies through a contract. Some contracts allow for services to be performed to any person. Other contracts manage the people that can receive the services. This managed service is Nebraska’s managed care system. Medicaid adds money through Medicaid Rehabilitation Option (MRO) or Substance Abuse Waiver.

A person needing treatment may enter the system at any service agency. That service agency calls a central review to assure the services proposed meet the person’s needs. The central review is housed at Magellan Behavioral Health Care, Inc.
